Solo Show Closing In...

I have just a few more prints to make for the exhibition next month (all images that won't be framed), and everything else is coming along. Here are a few quick pics from the last 2 weeks:

Henry showing off one of my bigger framed pieces. Precariously.

Printing a few smaller images last week.

I figured out what I needed for my last few framed pieces
this past weekend, and I'm waiting on a few final matboards.

That binder on the left contains all my information about the exhibition. It's where I tracked all possible ideas, the 4 different possible layouts I had for the space, and any other info. All of the sheets laying out in the first images of the post last month where I announced this exhibition are in there. I like to have a small binder for every little project where I can collate my ideas and progression.

Scroll back through recent posts for more on the exhibition, or check out these links: announcing my solo exhibition, framing up smaller work, and my image on the "Art and Design" flyer for Concordia University.

My Image on Concordia's "Art & Design" Mailer

I recently posted about an upcoming solo show that I'm preparing for. I just got a package from the gallery, and they used my image on the front of their "Art & Design" flyer for this year:

Framing Work (Stressfully)

This past week is when I really started framing work in earnest for my upcoming solo exhibition. Here was the view in my house a few days ago:

I don't mind framing work (I've never loved it), but it does stress me out a little. My wife just got me a new Garmin for Christmas, and it was entertaining to see my heartrate elevated in the 2 hour window when I was framing on this day:

A workout in the morning and late afternoon, teaching
a class from 9-12, and the "framing stress" from 1-3.

It showed up on my "stress indicator" as well.

First Week of J-Term

My class is 3 days into an intense 2.5 week "semester" in my J-Term Photography course. Here was the board after our first day 48 hours ago:

It looks similar to this post from last year, only this board is a bit smaller, so things are more cramped. Besides the smaller white board, I'm enjoying our new space as first showed last month in this post.
